Do we need one? - if so what?
Seven Plus is ...
Purpose: ?? Is it to maintain an ongoing connections to the original work of Seven Plus in relation to transitions around moving beyond paid work, and expanding them into the opportunities and challenges of aging?
Is this becoming a group? In the sense that we are not seeking fresh membership? N4W now has the capacity to generate fresh groups so that people interested in the movement do not need to head toward Seven Plus.
Neither of the emerging groups (First Fridays and First Impressions) includes men. That is a problem - not for the women - but there is a fundamental gap. And there are interested men out there - so???.
Activities:
- 7+ MeetUps - We meet fortnightly on Wednesday mornings from 10am to midday unless otherwise agreed. Members share responsibility for organising meetings or events at various locations. We foster friendship and connection around meaningful conversations about issues of shared interest or concern.
- 7+ Alt Wed - We meet fortnightly on the Alternate Wednesday from Meetups. Alt Wed conversations are focused around specific projects, questions, threads of conversation or topics. ?? Alt Wed contributes meaningfully to wider issues and conversations that arise within other networks.
- Happenings - We occasionally organise other events or excursions - and invite spouses and friends.
Values - as for N4W as a whole - or link to existing work on values thru Russ - but these are very detailed - what do we want - check with Lynne perhaps.
